I was deeply touched by your front page article about the passing of the former DPW boss John Bean. What a lovely man he must have been. The words from his two children were perfect bookends to the very personal history of Mr. Bean’s illness as described by his dedicated and loving wife. The description of their final kiss in the driveway broke my heart.
