2:09 p.m. — Disturbance reported on Deerfield Street where the 911 caller reports he is hiding in the backyard due to people wanting to assault him; investigation leads to arrest of Raymond Joseph Lopez, 21, of Marshall Street, Turners Falls, on a warrant, and charged with assault and battery on a family or household member.
2:33 p.m. — Officers assisted a female on the northbound lane of Route 91, near Exit 27, where they learned she got lost in woods and walked out to Route 91at about mile marker 49; she was given a ride back to a familiar location.
4:32 p.m. — Caller, who couldn’t be determined for location, said she believes the moving company she used to move from Greenfield to Florida has stolen her birth certificate; attempted to call back, but there was no answer, and couldn’t locate.
4;38 p.m. — Caller from near the railroad underpass on Country Club Road reports a white sedan with a female driver just went under this bridge and broke some glass, and she said the vehicle is headed south; officer found a small amount of glass in the roadway, and it was removed.
4:40 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at the Big Y Foods parking lot where the caller says several teens with backpacks were looking into the vehicles there; officer searched the lot, but was unable to locate them.
5:27 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported by the Patriot Care facility on Legion Avenue where the reporting person says three people just walked behind this location, and the building is closed at this time; officer located three people on the back steps; nothing unusual found; they were smoking cigarettes.
5:38 p.m. — Caller from Newton Street where the caller states her vehicle was damaged in the car wash there; the reporting person was given a incident form from Golden Nozzle, which she completed, and she also was given the managers information to follow up.
6 p.m. — A 911 caller from willow Street reports being verbally harassed and threatened by a neighbor; an ongoing issue; officers sent, and found it to be an on going neighborhood dispute of the last few weeks; today the reporting person approached neighbor’s kids, to complain about items leaning on his fences; the neighbor is upset the kids were approached; options were given to both people, and peace was restored.
9:37 p.m. — Report of skateboarders at the Family Dollar Store are refusing to leave; officer spoke with the store employee who explain three kids were skateboarding and refused to leave after being asked three separate times; they were gone on arrival of police.
10:12 p.m. — Malicious destruction of property, reported at Day’s Inn on Colrain Road, where the investigating officer found an 18-wheeler knocked over the hotel mailbox; officer assisted with information exchange.
12:20 a.m. — Disturbance reported a Greenfield Country Estates on Adams Road where the caller says a group of male are outside her place, and they are possibly arguing, and listening to loud music; officer found one male, intoxicated, listening to music, and advised him to keep it down; not as reported.
5:17 a.m. — Welfare check at CVS on Federal street where the reporting person states he was delivering newspapers to the pharmacy, and a strange woman with short hair, fake tattoos on the face and was carrying a guitar case, was acting strangely, and jumped out in front of his car; officer located the female which was the same female from Swift Cleaners on the previous morning; she said she was looking for a way to get something to eat because she hasn’t eaten in days, and began to cry and informed the officer she had a rough home live; the officer advised he could put her in touch with services if she wanted; she declined and stated she would be moving to Vermont; the officer gave her money to get food and water.
6:55 a.m. — Disturbance at Federal and Silver streets where the staff of a business there requested removal of a disruptive female, with black and orange jacket, black hat, short blonde hair, and was wearing goggles; officers arrived, and she was moved along.
9:08 a.m. — Report of a female in the street on Bernardston Road, and was yelling at cars; officer found the female to be moved along, again, headed north.
9:58 a.m. — Caller from Central Street reports that someone illegally dumped a copier on the tree belt in front of the service center house on the street; the reporting person is a member of the staff, and advised no one in the house saw who dumped the copier; officer advised.
10:40 a.m. — Hit and run accident reported at Lake Pleasant Road and Walcott Street; but no known injuries; the reporting person didn’t witness the accident, but was told by another bystander that the vehicle was white, but unknown make or model, or plate number; the vehicle struck a pole and a fence, and left parts of it’s fender and lights behind at the scene. BOLO issued and on arrival an officer confirmed the pole wasn’t struck, as the vehicle had only come close to the pole, but did strike a sign; investigation leads to a summons being issued.
12:37 p.m. — Report of a mangy looking fox about 35 feet from the reporting person’s property on Fairway Lane; delayed response due to call volume; but officer then checked the area and over the embankment, and was unable to locate the fox. .
12:46 p.m. — Report of larceny at Unity Park on First street where the reporting person was calling on behalf of his friend, whose phone was stolen while they were at the park; the person whose phone was stolen didn’t want to speak with an officer at first, but later said she would, and may have a suspect; the officer will be contacting Parks and Recreation on Monday to review surveillance footage.
2:58 p.m. — Caller form area of Montague City Road and Walnut Street reports the possibility of a coyote in the area, and was seen running across the street into the bushes and woods; officer advised.
9:25 p.m. — Reporting person advising of a fight behind the Rendezvous Bar on Third Street involving a tall black male with long dreadlocks punching another male on the ground; the reporting person stated there are two other people there, “cheering him on,” a white male and white female; while on the line, dispatch was advised the fight has ended, and the people are leaving the area, walking down the alley; officers were sent to another call downtown, and will BOLO for the person matching the description.
9:29 p.m. — Caller from Subway Restaurant on Avenue A reports of a male inside, possibly intoxicated, is starting to give customers a hard time, asking for change, etc.; officers arrived, and found the male was already leaving.
12:03 a.m. — Caller from Main Street in Montague Center where the male 911 caller reported a possible chimney fire at his home, and reported heavy smoke and roaring sound from the chimney; no smoke or fire extension into the building; Shelburne Control was advised for Montague Center Fire Department, officer advised; fire department on the scene and handling.
2:18 a.m. — Female caller from the F. L. Roberts gas station/store on Third Street where the clerk requests officers for a male who is threatening customers and being belligerent; he has been in two times, and just left out front, and crossed the street; the clerk requests he not come back to the store; officers then out with the male on Third Street and gave him a courtesy ride to his home on K Street.
4:12 p.m. — Shelburne Control report s a person on Hayden Street would like an officer for a return call regarding a property she rents; officer spoke with her and she explained how she gave some tenants 30 days notice to move out, and they haven’t turned the place over to her; officer spoke with the reporting person regarding options.
7:36 p.m. — Shelburne Control took a report of a male on the ground on South Main Street who is bleeding and was assaulted; both units responded and the male was transported to Athol Memorial Hospital by Orange Ambulance; officer spoke with the man who didn’t remembered being punched; spoke with the bartender there and other patrons who explained how it appeared to happen; the victim was advised to contact police when he gets released from the hospital if he is interested in pressing charges.
8:15 p.m. — Officer was flagged over on East River Street by a person reporting a building there had been filling up with smoke, from the hot water heaters; Orange Fire Department was contacted, and responded.; it was referred to another agency.
1 a.m. — Motor vehicle violation on East River Street for marked lanes violation, and investigation leads to arrest of arrest of Shawn Lee Richard, 46, of North Main Street, Orange, charged with marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of liquor, second offense and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
1:05 a.m. — Control took a report of a group of kids in the park on King Street side of Hayden Street; gone on arrival of police.
2:05 a.m. — Control took a call from East Main Street reporting there was a male, wearing a black jacket, who fell down, and is bleeding from the face; the reporting person reported the male went into Cumberland Farms; officer spoke with the clerk there who said no one matching the description had been in there; officers spoke with a man who said he saw the male walking eastbound; officers checked the area along with state police, and were not able to locate the male.
12:15 p.m. — Control advised a person on Battle Street would like to speak with an officer about a threatening message he received from his son; officer spoke with the reporting person and advised him of options; a message was left on the son’s cell phone advising him to contact the officer.
12:37 p.m. — Department of Children and Families is looking for an officer to respond to an East River Street location, as a known male isn’t supposed to be there with the children; on arrival the officer found the male was alone with the children; DCF was notified and they responded to the scene where two children were removed.
4 p.m. — Caller from Mechanic Street reports his son just saw a known person on the property and believes he attempted to open the garage; on arrival, the officer spoke with the male who claims he cuts through the yard, but never attempted to gain entry into the garage; he will no longer trespass on the property.
4:57 p.m. — Control reports the fire department is responding to an East Myrtle Street resident; on officer’s arrival the fire department reported they were all set.
7:25 p.m. — Control reports a caller from Canon Lane said a person in a dark color car, with Florida plates, that just took pictures of his house; when he went to speak with the female, she drove away northward; area checked with negative results.
7:50 p.m. — Caller from West Main Street wanted it logged that he came home today to find all the locks were changed; he reports the house is in the foreclosure process, but he still lives there and all of his property is inside; he will speak with his attorney tomorrow.
10:52 p.m. — Control reports management of a motel on Daniel Shays Highway wants an officer regarding an issue with a customer; both units responded, and found there were about seven to ten people in the room, which is against policy; customer was advised that all his guests will have to leave or he wouldn’t be able to stay at the motel for the evening; the situation was discussed, and all the people left.
