I recently suffered a debilitating back injury that left me completely immobilized and unable to get to the emergency room. I called 911 dispatch explaining my situation. Within minutes, the Colrain ambulance arrived at my home in Heath with a team of five EMTs to offer assistance. I was evaluated by the paramedic, medicated and literally carried a sizable distance in a chair to the ambulance and transported to the hospital.
Although I don’t recall their names, I want to express my sincere gratitude for quick response and providing professional care and compassion during a difficult situation.
