GREENFIELD — A man fishing in the Green River behind Enterprise Rent-A-Car said he was shot at with what sounded like a pellet gun.
According the Greenfield Police Department logs, the fisherman was not hit, but said he heard a pellet fly past his head.
Then, he saw someone standing across the river near the railroad tracks.
The man was not holding a gun. When the fisherman called across and said he was going to call the police, the man told him he was trespassing. He did not report the incident right away because he was afraid he would get into trouble for trespassing.
The report noted that police are investigating the event.
