Movies in the Park

GREENFIELD — The town’s Recreation Department is showing its first movie of the season Friday night at Beacon Field.

“The Peanuts Movie” will begin at dusk — typically 8 or 8:30 p.m. Dream big and laugh along with good ol’ Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved Peanuts gang.

Bring a chair and the family, and mark you calendars because the series will continue throughout the summer with “Star Wars the Force Awakens” on June 24; “Pirates of the Caribbean” July 22; and “The Good Dinosaur” Aug. 12 — all showing at the Green River Swimming and Recreation Area.

The last movie of the summer will be “Zootopia” on Sept. 23 at Beacon Field.

Movies in the Park are sponsored by Safe Schools, Safe Streets Coalition, Franklin First Credit Union and Wright Builders Inc.
