ROWE — In this year’s annual town election Dennis May won a seat on the Board of Selectmen.

Residents visited the polls on Saturday to cast their votes in the Town Hall. May received 81 votes, while John H. Williams won 45.

May, 64, of Potter Road could not be reached for comment in time for this article.

The Selectboard race was the ballot’s only contest.

Others on the ballot

Ellen Miller won a three-year seat on the School Committee, replacing Lisa Miller (no relation), who did not run for re-election. Janet Cowie won an additional unexpired two-year term on the school board, following the resignation of Gail May.

The following candidates ran unopposed for three-year terms unless otherwise noted: Two Board of Assessors seats, Heidi Cousineau and David Cousineau; Park Commission, Michael Phillips; moderator, Robert J. Clancy; Finance Committee, Wayne Zavotka; Finance Committee (two-year term), Loretta Dionne; library trustee, Karen Soviecke; Tax Collector, Sandra Daviau. David Roberson sought re-election to a five-year seat on the Planning Board.
