10:27 a.m. — Fire alarm reported in the area of Madison Avenue and the caller believes it is coming from the house across the street; unknown if it is a smoke detector or a CO alarm; Turners Falls Fire Department, advised and once on the scene they made entry, found no one home, and no problems located; they then cleared.
10:53 a.m. — Caller on the 911 line reported an accident on Friday morning; the caller was advised to call on the regular business line and to use the number for non-emergency assistance; the reporting person called back on the regular line advising she drove over a piece of metal on the Gill/Montague Bridge on Friday morning, resulting in a flat tire.
8:19 p.m. — Caller from N Street reports an unwanted female; he stated he allowed this woman to move in with him, and now wants her out; the caller says she slapped him at some point; dispatch could hear the female party in the background stating the male had shoved her, the male was advised to wait outside for officers to arrive, to avoid further conflict; no weapons reported to be involved; officer spoke to the involved people, and no assault was reported, the female has left the residence.
6:41 p.m. — Control reports a call from Fairman Road wanting the caller’s girlfriend removed as she is intoxicated again; both units responded and the female called a friend to come and get her.
7:28 a.m. — Accident on High Street, two vehicles involved, no injuries reported, one vehicle towed; report issued.
8:35 a.m. — Accident at McDonald’s on the Mohawk Trail where the operator of a vehicle drove through the drive-thru, and knocked the sign off the overhang above the pickup window; the operator didn’t identify himself; the passenger got out and placed the pieces of the sign on the walkway and entryway, and the vehicle then pulled into the parking lot, where they ate their food and discarded their trash in the middle of the parking lot.
9:30 a.m. — Parking enforcement advises they have booted a white 2003 Volvo in the parking lot on Chapman Street, for unpaid tickets.
10:45 a.m. — Despondent person reported on Sanderson Street, and the caller says her son, who was on a Section 12 at the ER earlier this morning, was just spotted on foot going up the mountain into the woods; description given and the caller advised the person will be violent if confronted; officer checking and requested a K-9 unit from Montague Police; officer sin the area of Beacon Field near the mountain, and up on Poet’s Seat Tower; K-9 unit arrived, and one officer could see the involve person leaning against a tree, but he didn’t respond when the officer called to him; officer and the K-9 were directed to the person, and the patient was then brought out of the woods; Medcare transported him to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
11:20 a.m. — Larceny reported on Prospect Street where the caller says a ladder was stolen sometime last night; officer investigating and found it to be one, 10-foot, orange ladder was taken from a rack behind the garage at this location last night; the officer noted the ladders weren’t locked up.
2:41 p.m. — Disturbance on High Street, just past the Weldon House, where the caller reports a male screaming and hollering at a female in the residence there; the caller says the male came outside, and the reporting person yelled to the male to stop yelling, and the neighbor stated, “this is a volatile situation,” and ushered the male back to his residence; the male subject was PTSD, and has been yelling at himself; officer checked the apartment to ensure he was alone, which was confirmed.
3:16 p.m. — Report of a despondent person at the Key Starr program on Park Street, where the subject was then transported by Medcare; the youth left voluntarily.
5:43 p.m. — Caller from St. James Church reporting one male at the dinner threatened to fight another male; the male was described at 5’10” of average build, short hair, with several scars and tattoo, and missing teeth, and wearing either red or pink; the suspect was using profane language and was asked to settle down, and began to make a disturbance when confronted, and then left out the side door toward ServiceNet. The man poured detergent on another man after having a verbal argument; the male who had the powder poured on him was advised on how to press charges.
6:03 p.m. — A Section 12 person was reported at The Elizabeth House on Congress Street where the officer assisted with Medcare and served the Section 12; Medcare transported the person to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
10:15 p.m. — Suspicious activity on Conway Street where the caller says a car there has its window smashed and there is glass in the road; officer observed smashed rear passenger window; unable to locate the owner; will follow up.
10:40 p.m. — Accident reported at the Exit 27 off of Interstate 91, but no injuries reported; officer and fire department sent, and fire department then has command.
11:31 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at Beacon Field on the Sanderson Street side where two vehicles were reported in the parking area there; officer located the pair of two motor vehicles, advised all persons of the town park curfews and they were moved along.
10:41 a.m. — While Turners Falls Ambulance was en route to another call, personnel saw smoke coming from the area of a Park Street residence and appeared to be coming from a porch there; Turners Falls Fire Department, is en route, and then advised they will clear, as they found the source of the smoke was sanding and grinding floors.
11:10 a.m. — Reporting person requests a code red message to be sent to residents of Greenfield Road between Sherman Drive and Randall Road that the Turners Falls Water Department will be repairing a water main break, and water service will be turned off until further notice while the work is being completed; Chief Dodge will be sending one “code red” to the affected residents; firefighter advised they were contacted direct and all hydrants in that area are functional.
11:30 a.m. — Caller from Food City advised the suspect from an earlier incident is now in front of Food City and requests an officer to ID the person and verbally trespass him from Food City; officer advised, and the identity is known; the officer will be checking the area and making contact with the reporting person; the officer will then attempt to locate the person involved at a potential address on Eleventh Street.
9:18 a.m. — Caller from East Main Street where the owner of a store requests extra patrol at night, as she was there this morning and found a lot of beer cans and nip bottles at the rear of the building; also, one of the picnic tables under the pavilion was burned on the top; the reporting person had a photo and said the burn area was about the size of a dinner plate; she was last there a month ago.
2:59 p.m. — Caller from East River Street reports a known male is parked next to the fence, and the caller claimed he was a sex offender, and it is time for the kids to get off the bus; she was advised the male is not on probation or parole, so he can park there; a cruiser was advised.
3:30 p.m. — The reporting person came to the station with his father as he is having issues with his ex-girlfriend and she is intoxicated; the reporting person was looking for options to get her out of the house; it was found that they have been letting her stay at the house; they were advised of court options.
4:24 p.m. — Caller from Hayden Street states there are two or three kids on Razor scooters, playing in the road; area was searched but gone on arrival of police.
5:06 p.m. — Officer wanted on Dexter Street where the caller reported kids on the roof, but on officer’s arrival no one was found.
5:25 p.m. — Reporting person came to the station with her son to report their neighbor threw a rock at her son yesterday, and the reporting person explained how she had to bring her son to the hospital today, due to the injury from it. Officer spoke with the reporting person regarding options and she just wants him spoken with; officer spoke with the youth and his father.
5:30 p.m. — A walk-in stated that a child who lives on West Main Street threw a handful of sand at her car, as she drove down West Main Street causing a minor scratch; she spoke with the child’s mother, who claimed she will discipline him. She wanted this logged in case of future incidents.
6:33 p.m. — Reporting person from North Main Street reports that a named person and his sons are on the way to this address to beat up her father and brother; on arrival, an officer called the man allegedly involved, and he stated he was in Gardner, and had no intention of driving to town; he will call his sons and advise them not to go there; all were advised of options.
8:39 p.m. — Report of an ATV accident in the area of the Orange and Wendell line but unknown if any injuries; on officer’s arrival it was found to be in Wendell, but due to the injuries sustained, the officer requested Life Flight; Environmental Police and Wendell Police responded to investigate. The injured person was taken to Athol Hospital.
12:49 a.m. — Traffic stop on the Mohawk Trail near Applebee’s Restaurant where the officer found the vehicle wasn’t inspected, there was a large crack in the windshield, and the operator had no license in possession; citation and warning issued.
8:08 a.m. — Malicious destruction of property, reported at Conway and Main streets for malicious destruction of property; officer to investigate a smashed windshield; found to be a previously reported incident.
9:15 a.m. — Officer served a warrant of apprehension on High Street at the hospital, and the subject was to be delivered to court, where the transport was done without incident.
10:36 a.m. — Caller from Pray Drive needs assistance with an out of control 10-year-old boy; officer sent, and assisted in a calming situation; services rendered.
10:39 a.m. — Fire prevention caller reports someone flagged him down to complain about the two donation boxes overflowing on the sidewalk in the area of the old Rugg Lumber Company; a phone number was provided to Greenfield Dispatch with the contact number for the company to come and empty the donations boxes.
10:52 a.m. — Accident reported at Hope and Cheapside streets, where the caller says he struck a piece of steel in the area; the reporting person showed an officer a minor scuff on the front bumper, and indicated he’s not concerned about the damage, but that he simply wanted to make sure the item is returned to its owner, who he believes is the town DPW; he believes it fell off the town’s tree truck; DPW was advised.
3:42 p.m. — Fire alarm activation at the Beacon House For Men on Beacon Street; fire department responded; a key holder was also notified, and he will make contact with the staff there; found to be burnt food on the first floor; all units available.
4:43 p.m. — Despondent person reported at the Key Starr program on Park Street; a Section 12 was issued, and officer requested Medcare to respond; the Medcare unit then transported the subject to the hospital.
7:02 p.m. — Despondent person reported at Victory House on Conway Street where the caller says there is a male patient at this time that they can’t go hands-on with; the youth is attempting to run away, and the caller states he is currently packing his bag; the youth spoke to an officer; officer assisted the staff with the unhappy youth; the situation was discussed, and services rendered.
