Thank you to all the citizens, elected local officials, legislators, local and grassroots organizations for fighting against Kinder Morgan’s Northeast Direct Pipeline. This victory is sweet and ever more so to have prevailed against the unprecedented power, seeming invincibility and greed of corporations like Kinder Morgan. Let’s celebrate the power of collective action and, at the same time, continue to fight to keep fossil fuels in the ground, promote renewable energy, ensure Article 97 of the Massachusetts State Constitution is upheld and nourish the land and communities we cherish. Thank you to the many people who believed the NED pipeline was unjustified. You demonstrated it was not inevitable the pipeline would be built!
