We are regimented, regulated. When we visit the store, we are told to stand in line in a certain area. In other businesses, we are told where to stand. Society is complicated. there are many rules and signs telling us what to do. Once in a while, we like to have OUR WAY. Is that too much to ask for?
Many of us are frustrated. However, some laws are good and prudent.
Our parents might have told us something like: “When you are angry, put down the knife or hammer you are holding.” When you are in an automobile, maybe we could all take a break. Just pull the car over and relax for a moment. Not everyone we meet is a great driver. God loves us — that’s the thing to remember.
A clergyman told me that God loves us not as we should be, not as we could be, but now, just as we are. However, He did give us Ten Rules to follow.
When someone cuts me off while driving an automobile, my first responses are “Blast You,” or tooting the horn. Some might believe it’s their private way. I try to share the road. My Padre says I must forgive. One priest told me he prays before driving. It could be that with God’s help, most things look better. Anyway, good luck. America is great, except for a few motorists.
Traffic control basically means taking turns. A mature person does not need to be first all the time.
Please note that some motorists come to the intersections with the attitude that they will obey the laws, and consider others. God bless them.
