ATHOL — A motorcycle struck a pedestrian in a Main Street crosswalk late Tuesday morning, according to a firefighter at the scene.

At least one person was taken from the scene by ambulance and the motorcycle was towed.

The accident occurred around 10:15 a.m. and closed Main Street at Island Street until 10:30 a.m.

No further information was available from the police or fire departments on Thursday.
