Nancy Hazard is absolutely right when it comes to our need to show our support for solar (RE: My Turn/Hazard: Stand up for solar, March 14).
Just a day after this opinion piece was published, 100 Massachusetts House members declared their support for legislation that would raise the limits on net metering, and avoid making arbitrary cuts to the value of solar credits. This is great news for anyone who supports solar energy, as it will make solar energy more accessible to anyone who wishes to use it.
It’s been almost a year since we hit the caps on solar. Massachusetts has long been a leader in clean energy, and there is no reason for us to resort to fossil fuels when we have so much clean energy potential.
