Energy Park Cleanup: Sunday, April 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. Celebrate Spring and meet other gardening lovers while preparing the Energy Park for the summer season. Work with native plants and explore the opportunity to adopt a section of the garden to call your own. Learn about and join regular Tuesday 1 to 4 p.m. work and/or planning days, and summer Coop Concert Weeders. Bring your favorite tools.

April Vacation Week: Sign up today for a fun filled week of activities, games, and outdoor fun for your child grades K-7. This program is held at the Youth Center on 20 Sanderson Street from April 19 through April 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Early Care available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and late care from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Walking field trips to Beacon Field and Federal Street School Playgrounds! Lunch, afternoon snack, and drink must be sent with child. Morning snack provided. Your registration also includes your child’s participation in the Community Kids Bringing Art to the Heart of Greenfield program. Registration deadline is April 5. $100 Residents, $125 Non-Residents.

Community Kids — Bringing Art to the Heart of Greenfield: Thanks to an Adams Grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Greenfield Recreation Department will be offering a special art-centered component to our April Vacation Program, culminating in the creation of a Public Art Project in downtown Greenfield. A professional artist will be on-site to guide the children as they expand their creativity while experimenting with different media. The art piece of the program will run April 19 through April 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. Contact the Recreation Department for more information.

Emergency Bike Road Repair 101:- Sunday, April 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. Chris Ethier, owner of Bicycle World, will lead a do it yourself workshop on emergency bike repair. Learn to repair flat tires, brake cables, bent wheels, etc. Find out what to look for at the scene of an accident and what to carry with you to get you up and cycling again. Bring your own bike and tube. $5 residents, $10 nonresidents.

Swim Area Season Passes: Purchase or renew your season pass to the Green River Swimming & Recreation Area by May 1 to receive the early bird special of 4 free guest passes and a coupon for a free ice cream.
