The Thoreau-sized cabin being used to protest the Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) got me thinking. “Taxation Without Representation!”

The TGP wants us, the taxpayers, to pay the construction costs for this unneeded and unwanted moneymaker pipeline for them through our electric bills for the next 20 years.

How is this right? Pay for something we don’t want that will likely pollute our water, air, land, wildlife, health, and perhaps kill us and our loved ones.

It will raise our property insurance and lower our property values and ruin much of the beautiful lands around us.

These pipelines have been identified as what will tip the balance of our planet’s health to the nonrecovery point.

Can we have a REAL Boston Tea Party and show the measure of our discontent? Extended civil disobedience to the point these corporations will go home and start doing something positive with their resources, like developing renewable energy like wind and solar?

The British left after the American Revolution in the late 1700s.

Go home Kinder Morgan, TGP, FERC and all others who want to make money at the expense of everyone and everything else!

We in Massachusetts want our rights and we want our laws obeyed. The citizens here want the land we have put in protective status to be protected! Not raped and pillaged! And for our own land to be safe!

When our federal government no longer represents and protects its citizens, it must change or go. FERC was created to protect America and its citizens, NOT its rich corporations! Especially corporations that lie and plunder the beautiful environment that our lives depend on.

It is time to say “no” to greed and “yes” to being stewards of this beautiful country before it is too late!

A call to action to protect our planet and its living creatures.
