I have been trying to find the right words to describe the way I feel about the “New Format” that The Recorder has come up with but David Fersh from Charlemont has done it much better than I can in the March 19 paper.
I can only add that I do not like it. Some print is too small and other headlines are so big you get distracted from the actual news. I find it very difficult and frustrating to read. Sadly, whereas I used to read The Recorder daily, I now find myself skimming it quickly and then putting it aside, probably missing some important news.
There is an old saying that goes, “IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT.” I am afraid that rather than keeping people from reading the news on the Internet, this will push them more toward it. Please rethink this new format. Thank you.
