CHARLEMONT — Nomination papers for the May 24 annual election are now available from Town Clerk Kathy Reynolds during office hours and are due back to the town clerk’s office by April 19 at 5 p.m.

Listed here are the positions up for election and the current incumbents, although it’s not known if all are seeking re-election. Also, all are for three-year terms unless otherwise noted:

Moderator (one-year) Charlotte Dewey; Board of Assessors Jacqueline Cashin; Hawlemont School Committee Erwin Reynolds; Mohawk School Committee Evelyn Locke. Tree Warden (one year) Stephen Reynolds.

Four out of five Planning Board seats are up for election. They include: a three-year term held by Michael Kane; a one-year vacant seat; a two-year term currently held by Carlene Hayden; and a one-year associate member position held by Daniel Miller.

Also on the ballot is a library trustee seat, held by Evelyn Locke, a five-year seat on the Parks and Recreation Commission, currently held by Sarah Reynolds, and a constable post held by Erwin Reynolds Jr.

Three Board of Health seats are on the ballot for a one-year, two-year and three-year seat. Whoever receives the most votes will have the three-year term, the candidate with the second-most number of votes will have the two-year term and the third vote-getter will have the one-year term.

The annual town elections for Charlemont will be held on May 24 from noon until 7 p.m.
