Kelsey Klerowski and Andrew Surmick are happy to announce their engagement.

The future bride, daughter of Catherine Klerowski of Church Street, Colrain, and the late Donald Klerowski, graduated from Gordon College in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She is an accounts receivable/payable clerk for the Greenfield Recorder and the Daily Hampshire Gazette.

The future groom, son of Andy and Cathy Surmick of Haddon Township, New Jersey, graduated from Haddon Township High School. He attended Farleigh Dickinson University and is a superintendent for the  Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.

The couple met in 2014 when Surmick began the court house project and Klerowski was the Recorder receptionist who worked across the street. It is well known that she would look out the window to check “the progress” of the construction, then hurry back to her desk when Surmick caught her looking at him. He loved it.

They make their home in Enfield, Connecticut, and enjoy house projects and ATV riding in northern New Hampshire in their spare time.

A 2017 wedding is planned.
