ASHFIELD — Several incumbents and some new contenders were nominated at this week’s caucus to run in Ashfield’s annual town election May 7.
Selectboard Chairman Thomas S. Carter has accepted a nomination for another three-year term, and Board of Assessors Chairwoman Sandra Lilly is also running for re-election. George Stephan has accepted a nomination for another three-year term on the assessors board.
Running for three-year terms are also: Edwin “Ted” Murray and Melinda Gougeon for Finance Committee; Helen “Poppy” Doyle for School Committee; Karen Lavallee for Board of Health; Elizabeth Lesure for constable; Judy Haupt for Park Commission and Daniel Lovett for Sewer Commission.
Carol Lebold accepted a nomination to a one-year unexpired term on the Finance Committee and John LaBelle is running for a one-year constable post.
Incumbents Stewart “Buz” Eisenberg, town moderator, and Thomas Poissant, tree warden, are running for relection to their one-year posts.
Running for five-year terms are Planning Board member Kenneth Miller and Library Trustee Esther Coler.
