SHELBURNE — The Shelburne Cultural Council has awarded $4,293 in grants for 30 projects approved for funding this year.
The Council received 39 applications requesting a total of $11,588.
The grants awarded range from $50 to $300 and they went to the following projects:
Memorial Hall Association, for theater production of “Dixie Swim Club” (September).
Mohawk Music Association, student trip to Annapolis Exhibition Music Festival (April).
Zachary Arfa, a Mohawk Trail Regional High School senior, for a satire, “A Very Potter Musical” (May).

The Shelburne Cultural Council seeks to fund projects of strong artistic and cultural value, which have a clearly stated plan to attract and benefit the residents of Shelburne and West County.
It funds a variety of projects aimed at children/school audiences, adult/senior audiences and family entertainment audiences, and to balance grant awards among these constituencies.
