ORANGE — Investigators are asking for the public’s help as they continue to look into the cause of the fatal fire March 5 at 34 Mechanic St.
The Fire Marshal’s Office this week put out a call for photos and videos of the early stages of the fire.
Fire marshal’s spokeswoman Jennifer Mieth said such photos can be helpful to investigators when looking at and trying to eliminate possible causes.
Anyone with photos or videos of the fire, especially before the fire department arrived, is asked to share them with the investigative team. Pictures or video can be dropped off at or mailed to the Orange Fire Department at 18 Water St., Orange, MA 01364 or emailed to Orange Fire Chief James Young at: jyoung@townoforange.org
The fire is under investigation by the Orange fire and police departments and state police assigned to both the Office of the State Fire Marshal and to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.
