SHELBURNE — Nomination papers for town offices are now available from Town Clerk Joseph Judd’s office.
To be on the May 16 annual town election ballot, candidates must take out nomination papers by 5 p.m. on March 28 and return them to the town clerk’s office by April 12.
The following terms are up for election this year. Listed here are incumbents, although it’s not yet known if they are seeking re-election:
For one-year terms: Town Clerk Judd, Town Moderaor Sylvia Smith and Tree Warden James T. Richardson.
For three-year terms: Selectboard member Robert Manners; Mohawk Trail Regional School District Committee Lori Grant; three constable positions currently held by Michael P. Barnes, James Stacy and Laura Manners; two Shelburne Public Library Trustees Launie York and Judith Kulp.
For five-year terms: Housing Authority Kim Levitch, Planning Board Will Flanders and Recreation Committee Douglas Martin.
The town clerk’s office is open Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The last day to register to vote in this election is April 27, when the town clerk’s office will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.
