Children’s Librarian Kay or a guest reader will read picture books, folk tales, or passages from favorite chapter books in a theme each week, with sing-along songs and some puppetry to go along with the theme. Award-winning poet Jericho Brown will read as part of the university’s Visiting Writers Series presented by the MFA for Poets and Writers program.
Brown’s poems have appeared in The New Republic, The New Yorker and “The Best American Poetry.”

They will converse about craft, inspiration, voice, publishing, and more. This is a co-sponsored event with Straw Dog Writers Guild and The Odyssey Bookshop.
