After reading Said & Done (Feb. 29), I want to personally thank Mr. Seamans for the generosity you continue to extend in painting such clear images of local history. As one interested in the subject, I find the context of your stories fascinating, though what inevitably brings on the tears, whether seated at the kitchen table or the coffee shop, is the intimacy by which you invite us all in with. These memories are a potent and valuable resource and your ability to convey the beauty alongside the bittersweet, I think, touches human truths that occupy a place beyond surface differences. Life really is too short, no matter how busy we try to keep ourselves.
