Screening can PREVENT cancer Re: “Colorectal cancer awareness month” (Health tip Feb. 23): Almost all bowel/colorectal cancers can be PREVENTED (if you act soon enough) by removing pre-cancerous “polyps” during screening. The patient can be back at work next day. That’s what you need to tell people in order to raise “screening” rates.
