The Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) will receive $4.5 million from the Federal Transit Administration’s Buses & Bus Facilities Program to upgrade its Northampton Transit Bus Garage, as well as $1.1 million in matching funds from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, while transit workers will also receive additional protections under a new law signed by Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey.
