High winds and dry air contributed to brush fires in Ashfield, Conway and Montague on Tuesday afternoon, with a downed power line believed to have caused a fire in Ashfield that burned down a woodshed, and a similar fire in Conway, while a brush fire in Montague may have been caused by a cigarette being thrown from a passing vehicle.
