GREENFIELD — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will close the ramp from Route 2 westbound to Interstate 91 southbound next week as a new traffic pattern is implemented and line striping is conducted.

The closure will go into effect on Monday, Aug. 12, and will last through Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. During the closure, Route 2 westbound traffic will be directed to the Interstate 91 northbound ramp. Traffic intending to travel southbound on Interstate 91 will be detoured to interchange 50B in Bernardston and continue to Interstate 91 southbound.

Drivers traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution. Signs, law enforcement details and message boards will be in place to guide drivers.

All work is weather-dependent and is subject to change without notice.
