GREENFIELD — An Enterprise box truck rented from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, sustained significant roof damage Tuesday after reportedly striking a bridge.

Greenfield Police Officer Adam Belville, on scene where the truck had been parked on Bank Row, said its passengers were uninjured. It’s possible the truck hit the Cheapside Bridge, but Belville said the damage also could have come from striking another structure earlier on its journey from South Carolina to Greenfield.

He said at 1:30 p.m. that he did not anticipate charges would be filed against the truck’s occupants.
