Library program to highlight life of Ruth Bader Ginsburg

ERVING — As part of the Historical Women Series presented by performer Sheryl Faye, a program detailing the life of late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be held at the Erving Public Library on Sunday, April 6, starting at 2 p.m.

Only 35 seats are available, so attendees are encouraged to register in advance at the Erving Public Library or by calling 413-423-3348.

Shenanigans with Friends to perform at Discovery Center

TURNERS FALLS — As part of the Great Falls Coffeehouse, the cover band Shenanigans with Friends will perform a variety of country, R&B, rock and blues songs on Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m. at the Great Falls Discovery Center at 2 Avenue A.

The band, which performs across western Massachusetts and southern Vermont, plays selections from Nanci Griffith, Leonard Cohen, The Kinks, Gregory Porter, Ray Charles, John Prine, Stevie Wonder and others.

There is a suggested sliding-scale donation of $7 to $20, though admission is free for children. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. There will be coffee, tea and baked refreshments available.

Make reusable tote bags in Erving

ERVING — The Friends of the Erving Public Library will host a workshop on making reusable tote bags on Sunday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library.

No sign-up is needed. Attendees can bring their own clean feed bags to use to make the tote bags.

Montague Villages holding meet and greet

MILLERS FALLS — Montague Villages, an all-volunteer senior assistance program, will hold its monthly meet and greet at the Millers Falls Library, 23 Bridge St., on Tuesday, April 15, at 3 p.m.

The meet and greet is for Montague seniors to meet the current volunteers as well as fellow seniors who are taking advantage of the free program. The organization is seeking volunteers ages 18 and up to help Montague seniors through services such as transportation, household help and tech support.
