Montague Police Logs: May 20 to June 8, 2024

9:19 a.m. — Kaleigh Ann Brunette, 36, of Westfield, was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug and resisting arrest on Fourth Street.
9:13 p.m. — Caller reports there is a male party at Avenue A and Third Street asking people for cigarettes and threatening to punch them if they don’t give him one. Officers advised.
12:33 p.m. — Walk-in to the station would like it on record that over the last few days, the son of a neighbor on Sherman Drive has been harassing her. One time he threw something at her car, another day he screamed vulgar obscenities at her while she was driving by and today he screamed at her while honking his horn. Advised of options.
9:04 a.m. — Caller from I Street reports her downstairs and upstairs neighbors are hacking into her phone, listening to her conversations and reading her text messages. Reporting party states she cannot receive phone calls, she can only call out. Officer advised caller’s daughter of options.
7:14 p.m. — Reporting party from Power Town Apartments on Avenue A states there are some kids and adults swinging sticks at each other and yelling at one another. No issues, just kids playing with long squirt guns.
8:59 a.m. — Caller from Fifth Street wants it on record that a note was left at her house reading “Roses are red, violets are blue, can’t wait to join the rainbow with you.” Reporting party has cameras being delivered.
10:58 a.m. — Caller from Our Lady of Czestochowa Church on K Street reports an attempted break-in sometime within the past few days. Bars on the windows were damaged. Report taken.
7:21 p.m. — Suspicious vehicle reported on Federal Street. Passenger side of a dark gray SUV is open and no one appears to be with the vehicle. Reporting party called back advising she drove by again and someone might be slumped over. Officer spoke with the female occupant of the vehicle who was parked waiting to see some wildlife. She was advised to park in a safer location.

10:30 a.m. — Caller reports there is a black bear roaming around the fields at Turners Falls High School on Turnpike Road. Unable to locate. School notified.
12:49 a.m. — Caller from Millers Pub on East Main Street reports a male party punched a customer in the face multiple times. Female party was bleeding from the nose but declined medical attention. Female party was advised of her rights.
12:56 p.m. — Multiple callers report a motorcyclist has crashed in the area of Maple and Unity streets. Officer reporting they have a tourniquet on the motorcyclist’s right arm. Motorcyclist was taken to the hospital. Motorcycle was taken to Nova Motorcycles by a witness and the owner is aware of where the bike will be.
9:26 p.m. — Caller on Avenue B reports she had a bat land on her head. Reporting party has the door open, but is blind and is unable to tell if the bat left the residence. Caller requests an officer come check her house. Bat was removed.
8:44 a.m. — Reporting party from Center Street would like to report that a female who is staying on her property has stolen some items. Reporting party states she allowed the female to use a stainless steel table and an outdoor wash sink. When the female moved off the property, she reportedly took those items with her.
10:49 p.m. — Three callers on Taylor Hill Road report a tree fell on wires and is now on fire. Officers shut down road. Eversource responded.
5:27 p.m. — Christopher D. Halla, 41, of Westfield, was arrested on a charge of possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.
7:09 p.m. — Caller from Avenue A reports a suspicious male party wearing a mask is filming people downtown and making people uncomfortable. Reporting party states when they asked him why he is there, he would not answer. Received another call about the same male party harassing people outside of the Chinese restaurant. Also received calls from Subway. Advised all parties the subject has the right to film.
12:41 p.m. — Report of a large owl on Randall Road that may have been struck by a vehicle. Owl appears to be alive but is seriously injured. Someone brought the owl to the Fire Station. Message left for individual in Leverett who may be able to help.
5:13 p.m. — Reporting party at G and 11th streets states there is a lot of yelling and screaming coming from a house down the alley. Chloe R. O’Malley, 25, of 11th Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on a warrant.
5:58 p.m. — Reporting party from Grove Street states she thinks someone may have used her outdoor shower. Officer advised her of options and told her to call if further findings occur.
3:19 p.m. — Reporting party from Fifth Street states his neighbor is dumping his trash into his dumpster and that’s not allowed. Reporting party states he keeps taking the trash back out and leaving it in the neighbor’s driveway. Neighbor also called in stating he is being threatened by the reporting party. Situation mediated.
11:36 a.m. — Caller at J and Seventh streets reports there is a blue cooler propped up against a stop sign. Doesn’t feel comfortable opening it. Officer responded, cooler empty.
11:08 a.m. — Reporting party states there is a lot of overgrown trees and bushes on the bike path crossing on Greenfield Road that are blocking drivers’ view from seeing pedestrians/bicyclists as they enter the crossing area. Department of Public Works notified.
7:10 p.m. — Caller on Fourth Street reports her electric bike was stolen off her porch about a week ago. Report taken.
9:58 a.m. — Reporting party is concerned about two vehicles that have been parked for several days on Eighth Street. Both vehicles are registered and parked in a legal manner. No issues.
3:07 p.m. — Reporting party from Avenue A states a male with a machete just threatened to kill everyone, then ran back into his apartment. Chhun Ren, 48, of Avenue A in Turners Falls, was arrested on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.
4:21 p.m. — Reporting party states a male party just shoved a woman out of the car and she hit her head. Male subject also called in, states he lightly pushed her out of the car and she stumbled and hurt herself. Female victim was offered medical care and declined. Advised of her options. Karl F. Enders, 65, of South Hadley, on a charge of intimate partner assault and battery.
8:52 p.m. — Multiple calls reporting a fight in front of Turners Falls Pizza on Avenue A between two males, one armed with a knife. Disturbance believed to have been captured on surveillance footage at the package store. Parties began to disperse in the direction of Food City as officers arrived.
