Montague Police Logs: Jan. 27 to Feb. 1, 2025

10:58 p.m. — Caller states he heard and saw a verbal and physical altercation from his apartment window, looking at two individuals on Avenue A. Officer is out with the individuals in front of Greenfield Savings Bank. They were advised of the complaint and to lower their voices. Individuals advised there was a fight farther down the street as well. Officer advises he checked the area, nothing found. No further action needed.
9:52 a.m. — Multiple callers reporting a two-vehicle crash at Millers Falls Road and Chester Street. Unknown injuries. Both vehicles towed. Report taken.
2:53 p.m. — Reporting party states the traffic lights at the intersection of Avenue A and Third Street are showing the same signals in both directions. Department of Public Works notified.
3:47 p.m. — Rebecca Marie D’Ambra, 34, of Union Street in Montague Center, was arrested on two warrants.
8:38 p.m. — Reporting party states a crash occurred on private property on L Street earlier in the day. Caller states someone sideswiped his vehicle and came to the door to let him know. Officer advised him of options.
1:32 p.m. — Walk-in to the station reporting that at around 3:00 a.m. this morning, she went outside on Sunrise Terrace after hearing a “boom” and saw an extraterrestrial light outside that she believes could be from the Elon Musk project. No police service necessary.
2:54 p.m. — Caller reports an ongoing issue with an unshoveled sidewalk on Fourth Street. Snow removal bylaw paperwork was given to the involved party.
9:13 a.m. — Multiple callers report a two-vehicle crash with airbag deployment at the intersection of Routes 47 and 63. Road shut down. Male party refused medical treatment. Report taken.

3:06 p.m. — Reporting party in the lobby states his cellphone and charger were stolen out of his locker at Turners Falls High School during the last period of school. Report taken.
4:52 p.m. — Reporting party states her vehicle slid on black ice near Franklin and Newton streets and two of her tires are hanging over the embankment not touching the ground. She states she was able to jump out of the car. No injuries but she can’t get the car back on the road. Officer advising the vehicle was not over the embankment, just in the snowbank. Tow company requested to pull it back onto the roadway.
1:12 p.m. — Security alarm sounding at Montague Town Hall. Employee advising the Department of Public Works building alarm went off when she went into the building to find salt or sand for the sidewalks.
