Roles change at Carnegie Library

MONTAGUE — Elena Pepe-Salutric will move to the position of library assistant and Easton Smith has stepped down from that job to become a substitute assistant at Carnegie Public Library.

The Selectboard unanimously agreed to the switch proposed by the Personnel Committee during its Jan. 22 meeting.

“Easton has a second job that is more demanding of his time, but he really loves working for the library and emphasized that he really wanted to stay with the library, working with his colleagues,” Library Director Caitlin Kelley said after the meeting.

Pepe-Salutric will work 13 hours per week at a rate of $16.35 per hour. Smith will receive $15 per hour. A substitute library assistant takes on hours when needed.
