Julia Duncan: Disgusted about musical canceled during pandemic

I’m so disgusted with the adults who canceled “Frozen Jr.” at Mahar Regional School four years ago [“‘Frozen Jr.’ shows to start: Play was originally rehearsed in 2020, but was stalled by pandemic,” Recorder, April 13]. That headline is not exactly true. The pandemic did not shut down the production; the adults who run Mahar shut down the production.

That was a mean thing to do, and completely unnecessary. We’ve been told over and over that masks keep us safe. So why couldn’t the students have worn face coverings on stage? And why were we forced to wear masks and social distance? So many questions, so few answers.
