Our senator, Elizabeth Warren, stood up for us and our democracy in front of the U.S. Treasury building with other protesters saying, “No one elected Elon Musk and … yet he is seizing the power that belongs to the people. We are here to fight back. This is no longer business as usual.”

She went on to describe how Musk has grabbed control of the American payment system and he can decide whether or not to make Social Security payments to people or payments to doctors, depending on whether he approves of the treatment provided. Our Constitution states that Congress creates and funds programs. And yet Elon Musk, who is neither elected nor appointed, is cutting programs like USAID, and he has led efforts to fire employees of the FBI and DOJ.

President Trump is blaming and scapegoating innocent people and trying to increase polarization and fear. Please, if you see and hear what is happening, contact our senators and representatives and let them know how we feel about these illegal actions.
