Laurie Boosahda: Imagine peace, and pursue it

Imagine there’s no weapons. It isn’t hard to do. Imagine there is peace. It’s easy if you try. I just returned from a performance in Greenfield by Women of Vision, two Arab and two Jewish residents of Israel, touring the area sharing their passion for peace. After lifting their beautiful voices in Arabic and Hebrew, they led the large gathering in singing “We Shall Overcome” and John Lennon‘s “Imagine.”

Imagine that all human lives are cherished. Imagine that the billions of dollars were instead used to feed and clothe and house those in need in this country and around the world. Imagine there are no bombs, destroying lives, and our planet. Imagine, feel it, and then call your legislators.
