My daughter is a captain in the Army. Unfortunately, she is going to be stationed at Fort Jackson for the next four years. She will be leaving and taking my two grandchildren with her. So my other daughter and two more of my grandchildren thought how about a Pioneer Valley Symphony concert on the lawn at Northfield Golf Club, that way we could all get together for one of the last times.

But the rains came and moved the event inside, and after spending $140 on “free” tickets so we could get into the auditorium at Pioneer Valley Regional School we decided to still go. The kids are 3 and 5, so sitting still was difficult for them. When we went in to the lobby for intermission, some random woman got right up in my daughter’s face and said your family is too loud and must leave.

That woman should be totally ashamed of herself for ruining our evening. I guess it’s back to video games for the kids and no opportunity for culture. I hope the organization spends the money well that we spent on the “free” tickets we couldn’t use.
