Nancy Harnden: The polls got it right, our form of government got it wrong

The commentary by the editorial board of The Washington Post on June 19 (“Biden should assume the polls are right, not wrong”) is incorrect. While it may be prudent that President Biden pay attention to the polls for the 2024 election, the polls were indeed correct in the 2016 presidential election: The polls predicted that Hillary Clinton was favored for the presidency, and she undeniably won the popular vote by almost 2.8 million. It was the Electoral College that got it wrong (again).
