Rowe Elementary is hosting “That’s A Cool Job!” Day on Wednesday, June 5. It’s a day for anyone to share with the Rowe students what your job is, why you love it, and what makes it interesting. Learning about the wide array of jobs and careers right here in our area would be valuable for our students. What we’re planning for that day is a “Science Fair” set up in the gym, where each person/business would get a table and chairs (if they need them, along with electrical availability), and the students would come through between 1 and 3 p.m., roughly 20-30 minutes for each of our four classes. Bring handouts and/or giveaways, make your presentation hands-on or interactive if possible, but primarily it should be interesting to elementary students. We’ve had musicians, boatbuilders, and police officers in the past, your participation would add to that list. If you communicate what your job is, why you love your job, and what makes it interesting to you, that will resonate with students of all ages. If you want to participate or know someone who might, please call or email me (413-512-5101 or wknittle@roweschool.org).

We hope you will consider participating in this day that will be fun for you and for the students. If you know of a business that you think would be interesting to Rowe students, please pass this information on to them, or email me at wknittle@roweschool.org.
