Janet Keyes: Newspaper changes noted

In the past two weeks I have noted several changes in the Recorder.

One, the physical margins are much smaller, making it hard to find space to do the Jumble puzzle. However, I find the new feature, a large empty space on page 1 each day, giving me room to write all the possible words in the Jumble. I guess that equals out, even if I do have to work from two sections of the paper.

Two, the cartoons on the opinion page seem much less enraged and hateful lately. I appreciate the gentler humor of Wolverton, Englehart, Schwadron, Margolis, and several whose names are indecipherable — Weyant? Dark? Halhud, and one whose scribbled name appears to be “B3d!” Even Granlund had a couple of less-than-his-usual hate-filled cartoons. Kudos to your gentler approach!
