Swimming: Turners Falls drops pair to Ludlow (PHOTOS)

Visiting Ludlow posted a pair of victories in the pool on Tuesday, earning a road sweep over Turners Falls High School.
On the boys’ side, Ludlow snagged a 54-31 victory.
Liam Bliss qualified for the state championship meet in the 100-yard backstroke after winning the event for the Thunder (1:09.21), while Connor Glennon swam an impressive individual medley.
Matt Sibley also aided the Turners Falls effort with strong performances in the 500 freestyle (first place, 8:15.64)) and 100 breaststroke.
On the girls’ side, Ludlow edged Turners Falls, 52-42, on Tuesday.
Rose Fortin swam well for the Thunder in the 500 freestyle, while Ainslee Flynn powered through shoulder pain to score big in the 100 fly with an individual victory (2:24.16).
Sylvie DiBartolomeo swam a personal best in the 500 free, while Avery Heathwaite won the 100 breaststroke.
Turners Falls will next host Renaissance on Friday.
