Wildflower Walk: On Thursday, May 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., participants can embark on a free guided tour of the native wildflowers that bloom at the Green River Swimming and Recreation Area. Register in advance at bit.ly/44jsHgL.

“Puss in Boots: The Last Wish”: Friday, May 5, at Beacon Field. Enjoy a film outdoors on the big screen with family and friends. Movies begin at dusk (around 8:30 p.m.). Attendees are welcome to pack a picnic or bring a blanket. Sponsored by Franklin First Federal Credit Union.

T-Ball: Saturdays, May 6 through June 10, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Lunt Field. For children in kindergarten through second grade. Players will learn fundamental skills and good sportsmanship through confidence-building drills and activities along with scrimmages. $45 for residents, $55 for non-residents. Volunteer coaches needed.

Cornhole Tournament: Saturday, May 6, at 3 p.m. at Court Square. (Rain date: May 7.) The Recreation Department is hosting a double-elimination tournament to raise money for the Independence Day fireworks. There will be a live DJ, food trucks, alcohol, raffles and children’s activities. The cost is $50 per team, with two players per team. Participants must be 18 years old or older. All skill levels are welcome. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.

Start Smart Baseball: Tuesdays, May 9 through June 13, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Green River Swimming and Recreation Area. For parents and their children, ages 3 to 5, to learn the basic skills necessary to play organized baseball. All participants leave with a baseball kit. $50 for residents, $60 for non-residents.

REC the NIGHT Karaoke/Dance Party: Friday, May 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Youth Center, 20 Sanderson St. For kids in grades five to seven. Register online or in person at the 20 Sanderson St. offices.

Buddy Baseball: Saturday, May 13 through June 24 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Greenfield Middle School. This program is for youths with disabilities. Each player has a peer buddy to assist with skills the player cannot perform. Buddies and coaches are needed.
