Bulletin Board: PV Juniors 13 North squad captures championship in final tournament of season

The Pioneer Valley Juniors 13 North team won its final tournament of the season on Sunday at Canton High School, going undefeated with a 6-0 record to take home gold.
The team is coached by Frontier alums Anie Carey and Kate DeMaio. The team is made up of players from Deerfield, Turners, Orange and Amherst, with Annabelle Esparza, Alyvia Cloukey, Lilliana Deleo, Calista Bresciano, Ella Smith, Isabella Reyes, Gemma Parsons, Brenna Zilch, Grace Baronas and Josefina Farrar comprising the squad.
The team of Ann McHugh, Karen Zermeri, Shannon Petrin, Marley Balasco and Bobbee Low tied with the team of Elaine Goodhind, Michele Hazlett, Pat Coffin, Linda Lively and Mary McNally for first with a score of 35 in an opening scramble during the Women’s Night 9 Hole League at Country Club of Greenfield
In the Women’s Tuesday 18 Hole League Teresa Varner and Barb Killeen each finished 1-up to win their matches while Susan O’Connor won her match. In the second flight Linda Lively and Anne Echeverria tied while Dianne Wood won her match.
In the 9 Hole Flight Margo Worden, Deb Vandale, Susan Parker and Anne Corrinet won their matches.

Aubuchon Hardware 4, Lundgren Honda 1 — Owen Little and Charlie Tyler each threw three shutout innings while Cooper Deane had a hit in Aubuchon’s win Tuesday. Sean Degan pitched while Joe Locke had a hit in the loss.
Denny’s Pantry 17, Rotary Club 11 — Andrew Quintana pitched and added two hits at the plate while Mason Lovett and Connor Bergeron doubled and singled in Denny’s win Tuesday.

Triton Automotive 14, VT Wildcats 4 — Clara Behan, Adie Abercrombie and Tianna Moise-Valdez each had two hits in Triton’s victory Tuesday.
Freedom Credit Union 5, Sandri 0 — Harriet Bailey and Charlotte Facey both had three hits in Freedom’s victory Tuesday. Riley Riepold had two hits while Amelia Reardon pitched for Sandri.
Franklin First Credit Union 9, Pristine Orientals 1 — Carly Chadwick, Emma Carney and Ellie Martin each had three hits in Franklin’s win Monday. Grace Mickey had three RBIs in the loss.
Middle school
Greenfield 17, Frontier 12 — Samantha Suhl (two hits), Pris Santiago (hit) and Alexis Berry (hit) led Greenfield to a win Monday. Leah Meattey (three hits) and Addie Waskiewicz (two hits) played well for Frontier.
