Bulletin boards: Montague Elks soccer shoot winners crowned

The Montague Elks held its soccer shoot on Saturday at Franklin County Technical School, with Benjamin Kolodziej, Maximo Morales, Andrew Morales, Ales Martin Ovalle and Indira Wiles placing first place in their respective age groups.
The Montague Elks Lodge #2521 wishes to thank the parents, students, friends and volunteers for attending the soccer shoot.
James Bartdon, Tony Castro Siano and Jonah Wiles each placed second while Larry Ramirez Martin came in third.
The first place finishers are eligible to compete in the District Shoot, which is scheduled for Sept. 29 at the Auburn Elks Lodge.
Eaglebrook Outing
The Eaglebrook School held its second annual golf outing at Crumpin-Fox Club in Bernardston on Monday, with Maty Ainsworth, Rick MacDonald, Thomas Waidlich and Nick Mulvaney winning the scramble with a score of 57.
Timothy Farrell, Carl Hoynoski, Dennis Booska and Brodie Conant took second (59). Val Esquer won longest drive on No. 8 while Matteo DeLuca won it on No. 17. In closest to the pin, Ryan McHugh won on No. 9 (3 feet, 4 inches) while Charlie Cahn won it on No. 15 (5-8).

Ned Nichols’ plus-7 point quota led the way at Wednesday’s Knights of Columbus Golf League at Thomas Memorial in Turners Falls.
Jim Welcome was second at plus-6, with Ken Mitzkovitz third at plus-5. Bob Bourbeau notched the low gross of the day with a 37.
Bourbeau also won both closest to the pin contests, landing his approach at No. 7 to 5 feet, 10 inches, and his shot at No. 9 to 7-4. Bourbeau, Drew Powell and Ryan Hickey won skins.
CCG results
■ Gardner’s John Leonard sank his first career hole-in-one on Wednesday, doing so at Hole No. 15 at Country Club of Greenfield.
Leonard used a 7 iron to sink the shot from 129 yards out. George Gikis, Pete Gailet and Aris Cormier were witnesses.
■ In a Par Four Only contest in the 18 Hole Women’s League at Country Club of Greenfield on Tuesday, Terry Boyce (41) and Teresa Varner (51) shot the low gross scores in Flight One.
Nancy Robie and Ann McHugh tied for the low net (38). In Flight Two, Sue Sigda (54) and Irene Woods (57) shot the low gross scores while Irene McDonald (38) and Dianne Wood (40) had the low net scores.
