Bulletin Board: Gunnar Moore reaches semifinals of 2024 Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship

Gunnar Moore, representing Country Club of Greenfield, reached match play of the 2024 Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship and on Wednesday, competed in the Round of 16 and Round of 8 at Bayberry Hills Golf Course in Yarmouth.
Taking on Will Spring — representing Concord Country Club — in the Round of 16, Moore won going away, winning with two holes to go while 4-up.
He advanced to the quarterfinals, where he faced off against Nashawtuc Country Club’s Max McColgan. There, he went up three with two holes to go to win the round and make it to the semifinals.
Moore will continue the tournament on Thursday, taking on Boston Golf Club’s Carson Erick in the semifinals.
Knights of Columbus
Craig LeBlanc (plus-8) and Mike Morin (plus-5) finished with the top point quota in the Knights of Columbus League at Thomas Memorial this past week.
Rod Demers won closest to the pin on No. 7 (one feet, nine inches) while Morin won on No. 9 (21-9). Charlie Peters, Darren Lenois, Craig LeBlanc and Wayne Lacey won skins while LeBlanc and Bob Bourbeau shot the low gross of 37.
