I’m just going to explain my logic on this.

Rep. Kennedy is pretty much a respected member of the House of Representatives who has been there long enough to have some clout. We need him to stay there and represent us one more time. Because even if a Republican is unlikely (though it could happen and this is a really bad time for that) to take his place, the person winning that seat would be starting at the bottom of the congressional heap which means less voice for Mass.

The second thing is that Ed Markey is a very strong member of the Senate who is highly environmental and has good relationships. If Joe Kennedy won against Ed we would lose all that. Literally. In a year when everybody who cares about American is hoping to flip Congress Blue we’re losing two strong Democratic voices at one blow.

Just because the Kennedy boy wants to move up the ladder. Personal ambition rising over the good of the Nation. Bad idea, Joe.
