CONWAY — The town’s Wastewater Committee has been studying the feasibility of building a community septic system focused on the short- and long-term needs of the downtown area.
In preparation for its report to May’s annual town meeting, the Wastewater Committee wants to share its preliminary findings with interested residents and hear their thoughts and suggestions on the report. There will be an information session at Town Hall at 10 a.m. on Saturday. All residents are welcome.
What’s driving the report, in part, is the Selectboard’s and residents’ realization that downtown economic development is restricted by lack of a community septic system.
The committee will share its analysis of present septic conditions for the downtown area, preliminary designs for possible neighborhood wastewater treatment systems, a look at the costs, what impact such systems might have on homeowners and what next steps might be taken.
