Bernardston Historical Society Museum open on Sunday
BERNARDSTON — The Bernardston Historical Society Museum at 20 Church St. will be open on Sunday, Sept. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Included in the museum’s collection are household relics, vintage farm implements, historic photos and the Lumen Nelson taxidermy collection of small mammals and birds. One of the museum rooms is set up as a 19th-century classroom. Attendants will be on hand to answer questions.
The museum is located on the second floor of the former Powers Institute building and is fully accessible. Ample parking is located at the rear of the building, with the lot entrance located on Library Street. Admission is free, though donations are appreciated.
Sept. 8: ‘Hemp for Wellness’
NORTHFIELD — Western MA Hemp Inc. will present a free “Hemp for Wellness” educational talk at Dickinson Memorial Library on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m.
Attendees can learn about hemp, the human endocannabinoid system and how hemp can be used for daily wellness. Brothers and owners Michael and Brian Lupario are unique in the hemp industry in that they are “true to the plant,” not isolating particular compounds like THC or CBD. Hemp juice samples will be available to try.
Farley String Band to perform on Sept. 21
BERNARDSTON — The Farley String Band will perform at the Bernardston Senior Center on Monday, Sept. 21, at 3 p.m., followed by dinner at 4 p.m.
These eight local musicians perform traditional folk and fiddle tunes, as well as beloved standards.

Piper the Harpist next Memory Cafe performer
NORTHFIELD — Piper the Harpist will perform during the next Memory Cafe at the Northfield Senior Center on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
This program provides support and socialization for adults dealing with memory-related issues and their caregivers. The light lunch will be tossed salad and soup.
