The Franklin Tech girls summer league team defeated Greenfield, 38-16, on Thursday night in Turners Falls.
Brayleigh Burgh scored 10 points with two 3-pointers for the Eagles. Sarah Beckwith and Abigail Dobias both had eight points. Dobias drained two 3-pointers for Franklin Tech.
Sarah McCloud led the way for Greenfield with 13 points with three 3-pointers.
Frontier 58, Athol 8 — Harper Modestow ruled the paint in the win for the Redhawks, scoring 18 points to lead the offensive effort on Thursday. Addie Harrington put in some light work, scoring 14 points. Abby Cendrowski also reached double-figures with 10 points with a couple 3-pointers.
Maliah Clark scored seven points for the Bears.
Mahar 25, Mohawk 20 — Jaya McBroom scored seven points in the win for the Senators on Thursday. Lexi Ares added five points, with Adalynn Almeida chipping in with four points. Natalie Lanoue scored 16 points for the Warriors.
Pioneer 28, Mahar 20 —Ariana Perkins and Taylyn Anderson both had eight points in the win for the Panthers on Thursday. Nastasia Sanders scored seven points for the Senators.
Frontier 54, Mahar 8 — Harrington scored 20 points for Frontier in the win over the Senators on June 16 at Franklin Tech. Modestow added 17 points. Taylor Paluk scored four points for Mahar.
Pioneer 23, Greenfield 20 — The Panthers got the win over the Green Wave on June 16. Anderson had nine points, with Perkins adding six points. Tayler Bergeron had 13 points for the Green Wave.
Athol 21, Franklin Tech 18 — Maliah Clark led the way with six points for the Bears in the win over the Eagles on June 16. Maddie Kaczmarczyk and Serena Nkengafe each had four points. For Franklin Tech, Burgh and Bella Brown-Stratton each scored seven points.
Franklin Tech 38, Mohawk 30 — The Eagles closed out the first night of league play with a win over the Warriors on June 16. For Franklin Tech, Beckwith led the way with nine points while Burgh scored eight. Maddie Finn and Zephyr Jetzon each scored six points to lead the effort for Mohawk.

Descavich Plumbing & Heating 17, Greenfield Garden Cinema 1 — The Plumbers advanced past the Moviegoers in the second round of the Ponytail playoffs on June 16. Lexi Berry went over the 100-strikeout milestone for the season for Descavich. Leah Batiste had a homer while Grayson Baker added a single. Dani Zraunig had a hit for Greenfield Garden Cinema.
Triton Automotive 15, Vermont Wildcats 0 — Lindsey Hawkins tossed a no-hitter with nine strikeouts in the Ponytail playoff victory for Triton Automotive on June 15. Tiana Veldez belted a solo home run for Triton.
Greenfield Garden Cinema 12, Pipione’s Sports Shop 4 — Dani Zraunig had eight strikeouts in the circle in the Ponytail playoff victory for the Moviegoers on June 15. Zraunig added three hits with four RBI. Makenna Ward added three hits with two RBI. Lorraine Love and Penelope Gioules both chipped in with a hit and an RBI. Aurianna Stribley-Ortiz had a base knock for Pipione’s, while Ella Towne had a double with two singles.
Descavich Plumbing & Heating 7, Camelot Carpet Cleaning 3 — Lexi Berry pitched a complete game shutout with 13 strikeouts in the first round win for Descavich. She added a triple at the plate. Ava Martin and Zoey Lively flashed the leather for Descavich. Hailey Sadler had an RBI triple while Hayden Sadler had an RBI double for the Cleaners. Kendall Bernard added a triple.
Greenfield Minor League Baseball
Maniatty Real Estate 5, New Fortune 4 — Maniatty’s took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three Major League championship final on June 16. It took extra innings to complete the victory. EJ Provost scored the deciding run on a bases loaded walk by Ryder Arsenault.
Brock Puchalski picked up the win in relief and doubled in two runs in the top of the sixth inning to tie the game. New Fortune forced extra innings on a double by Sean Winslow. Colin Winslow pitched five strong innings in relief. Reed Kelly and Yousef Benson added hits in the loss. Toby Campbell and Owen Castine had doubles for Maniatty’s.
New Fortune 5, Maniatty Real Estate 2 — New Fortune tied the best-of-three series in the Major League championship series on June 16. New Fortune scored three runs in the top of the seventh to pull away.
Toby Campbell had 12 strikeouts and only surrendered three hits over six innings for the Real Estate Agents. Anthony Ruggeri, Sean Winslow (two hits) and Collin Winslow (two hits) all scored runs for New Fortune while Elijah Lawler added a hit. The pitching combination of Sean Winslow, Miles Williams, Collin Winslow, and Anthony Ruggeri kept New Fortune in the game by only allowing five hits over seven innings with combined 15 strikeouts.
Owen Castine (double), Toby Campbell (double), Brody Suhl and Brock Puchalski all hit safely for Mainiatty’s. The deciding game three will take place Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at Lunt Field.

Defenders 9, Menace 8 — The Menace couldn’t hold onto an early lead in a loss to the Defenders on June 17. The Defenders scored three runs in the fifth inning to pull ahead. Maddie Finn had Juniper Totino had two RBI for the Menace. Chloe Banas and Totino both had homers. Sammi Suhl pitched five innings, giving up eight runs with 10 strikeouts.
Havoc 17, Wolfpack 7 — Lily Bogert and Mia Lindahl both went 2-for-2 with two RBI in the win for the Havoc on June 17. Molly Kunkle added a two-run double. For the Wolfpack, Abigail Rosario (RBI) and Alex VanStee (two RBI) both singled.
Fury 22, Flyers 0 —Leah Batiste and Tianna Moise-Valdez both had two hits in the win for the Fury. Ali Kajka pitching two innings with seven strikeouts, while Charlie Lovett tossed three innings with two strikeouts.
Riley Dyer had a hit for the Flyers.

Amanda Sanderson added a two hits including a triple with an RBI. For Posada’s, Kris Quiles-Santiago and Brian Sicard both homered while Emilie Brodeur went 3-for-3 with an RBI.
Liberty Tax Sharks 16, AGH Disposal & Recycling 15 — Robert Badillo walked it off for the Sharks with an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning on June 16. The hit capped a three-run comeback in the final inning.
Che Christi had a single, a double and a triple with three RBI for the Sharks. Heather Gibson added three hits with two RBI. Badillo finished with a single, a triple and a homer to go along with five RBI.
For AGH, Keira Richardson-Meattey had three hits, while Rawley Hubbard had a single with two doubles.
Posada’s Tavern 25, Tenderloins 1 — Brian Sicard went 6-for-6 with four RBI in the win for Posada’s on June 15. Jovan Bones went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and a homer for the victors. Running
Twenty-eight runners participated in the Northfield Summer Road Race race this week with Mark Rabasco winning in a time of 18 minutes, 18 seconds. Harper Hake (22:34) of Pioneer Valley Regional was the first female finishing in ninth place. Dan Mickus (18:55) took second, followed by Will Thomas (20:44), August Bingham (20:56), and Mike Townsley (21:00).
