Fredd M. Fuller

Northfield, MA – Fredd Monroe Fuller, 85, of Northfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in his home after a long illness on June 6, 2026. Fredd was born on November 17, 1940, in Montague, Massachusetts, to Frank S. and Irene R. (Hoyle) Fuller. Fredd was fiercely passionate about farming and working the land. He dedicated his life to dairy farming, hard labor and his family. After graduating high school, he continued operating his dairy farm and joined the Northfield Fire Department in 1965 and then became a lifetime member. He also served in the Army National Guard for 6 years.

To say he was a good man is an understatement. He wore many hats in this life-a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, a dependable brother, an honest dairy farmer, a generous friend, a brave firefighter, and of course the ultimate “Mr. Fix-It” or “Fredd-of-all-trades”. He was generous with his time, his skills and his love. He gave his best to everyone and never did anything half-measured.

Everything he did was done his way and on his time. As a dairy farmer, his days began before the sun came up and ended long after it went down. He understood the brutal, beautiful reality of farming. He knew that some days would be tough and that the elements wouldn’t always cooperate. Yet, he showed up every single morning with grit, sweat, and an unmatched work ethic. He taught us that hard work isn’t just about getting a job done, it’s about having the resilience to keep going until the job is completed. Fredd’s character – always there to serve, expecting nothing in return.

That same relentless work ethic and desire to help others naturally spilled over into his endeavors. In addition to owning and operating Cedar Ridge Farm for 40 years; he was a lifetime member and lieutenant of the Northfield Fire Department and served as a town Constable for several years. In his early years, he and his father owned a bulldozing business, which cleared more than 25 miles of recreation trails for the Northfield Mountain Recreation Center. In his later years he was also employed by Bob Deane Excavating, the Northfield Highway Department, and Five Acre Farm.

When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed driving around town, visiting with friends and planning his next innovative project. He loved the outdoors through all the seasons – working the land, gardening, snowmobiling and vacationing in Ogunquit, ME with his wife.

Fredd was predeceased by his parents Frank and Irene. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret (Streeter), his two sisters, Joyce Fuller and Delores Avery (Fred), his three children and their families, Robert (Diane), their son, Jacob (Mirandah), a step-grandson, Sean Radowicz and his daughter Raegen, David (Susan) and their children, Elizabeth, Jennifer and Katheryn, and Sharon (Thomas) Laliberte and their children, Ashley, Matthew and Steven. Fredd is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jack Streeter, who Fredd considered a son as he and Margaret raised him from a very young age. Additionally, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Joan Hamilton (Thomas) as well as several nieces and nephews.
