Greenfield, MA – Patricia Arlene Lewis, 75, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026, at home after a brief illness.
Patty was born May 18, 1951, in Greenfield, MA, to Robert and Elaine McDonough. She is survived by her Son Jeffery Lewis of Turners Falls; five siblings, Robert McDonough and his wife Wanda of Georgia, Michael McDonough and his wife Helen of Arizona, Timothy McDonough and his wife Bernice of Turners Falls, Paul McDonough and his wife Linda of Hadley and Judith Burley of Texas; grandchildren, Isabella Justiniano, Kali and Rowan Lewis; several nieces and nephews, as well as her business partner Arthur O’Dell and his wife Judy.
Patty was predeceased by her parents Robert and Elaine and her brother John McDonough.
Patty attended Greenfield schools. Upon graduation, she went to work at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. After returning home, she started working for Hassay-Savage where she discovered a talent for mechanical aptitude and started the A.H. O’Dell Company with her business partner Arthur O’Dell. They spent years building a successful business and fulfilled her dream of working for herself and becoming a businesswoman in the Greenfield community for over 40 years.
Patty took great joy over the years, travelling with her best friends Art and Judy O’Dell, to area casinos.
She had a passion for her grandchildren who brought her true joy, from the time they were born. She loved devoting herself to their time they spent together. She enjoyed monthly family get togethers where birthdays and holidays were celebrated. Her infectious laugh could be heard throughout the room. She was an avid Red Sox fan and reader.
Patty will be interned on Thursday July 9th at 11am at Elm Grove Cemetery, 524 Turners Falls Rd., Montague, MA, with a reception to follow at Tim & Bunny McDonough’s in Turners Falls.
It is requested in Lieu of flowers a donation be made to a charity of one’s choice.
