COLRAIN — There are no contested races on the town election ballot, and of the four positions with ballot candidates, three are incumbents seeking to retain their positions.

The election will take place on Tuesday, May 12, at the Colrain Town Offices at 55 Main Road. Polls will be open from noon to 7 p.m.

The ballot candidates are as follows:

  • Selectboard: incumbent Emily Thurber for a three-year term.
  • Board of Assessors: incumbent Dwight Harrison for a three-year term.
  • Library trustees: there are two seats available, both for three-year terms. Incumbent Cheli Mennella is seeking reelection, along with new candidate Tasha Gilbert.

There are no ballot candidates running for a three-year term as constable or for a three-year seat on the Mohawk Trail Regional School District School Committee. These positions may still be won by write-in votes.
